President Obama’s trip to Canada will be short but there are great clues he may learn to fixing the US economy which is due to the reckless disregard of banking lending and monetary regulations.

The stimulus package is not received well by Americans because the money is being put back in the hands of the sleazy lenders that cooked up the derivative scheme which began with AIG and spread like a cancer throughout the world lending systems.

All countries who were tinged by these loans had trusted that the US banking system was solid or at least stable and to this day this has not been revised. Until President Obama instills confidence in the banking system by nationalizing the banks this instability will continue to plague the lending market. The Canadian model of banking owned by the government did not sustain the hit the US banks took and are in a stronger state of economic well being during this recession. Lending has tightened but people can still get loans, only you have to prove you have the income to pay for it.
If an American went to buy a house 4 years ago, or 20 years ago for that matter all that would be produced for evidence of income is two weeks pay stubs and not much more. There was very little attention to the credit worthiness of the borrower because the loans were sold off after they were negotiated. That is the key to the problem since in Canada you have the same lender pretty much throughout the life of the loan. In the US they trade loans like hockey cards bubble gum wrappers and somehow they pass these bad loans off to the last sucker that buys them.

President Obama would have loved to inherit a banking system such as the Canadian banking system where all the major banks are governed with regulations that report, and are audited by the Canadian government. So what is wrong with that, don’t Americans want some stability with their money at some point? The lessons learned are that you cannot toss the banking system billions of dollars for corrupt behavior and expect different results! They will abuse the system again and again and again until the government takes them over and regulates financial institutions. Insurance companies were also involved in the scam derivatives whose values were inflated on the cooked books because the SEC didn’t bother auditing and regulating these swaps. They didn’t follow the paper trail, they didn’t investigate and they did nothing to punish what was a small tumor which grew into a cancerous body that killed the whole financial system of the world.

What exists now is a system where anyone can open and call themselves a bank. Unscrupulous lenders can make up their own rules and no one regulates their practices or scams.
The US will not recover until the US government takes responsibility for the absolutely vital area of its financial system which is the life blood of its vitality and economic growth.

Until the banks are trusted again, and are trusting in their borrowers the conscience of the US markets will continue to ride a dangerous roller coaster for the next several years.

Since the US government is now using massive amounts of tax payers as lending capital which was supposed to be injected into the lending system it stands to reason that “ownership” of the banks that are hoarding the cash. It also makes sense for the personnel that started the “Ponzi Derivative” scheme be removed from there position for their failure to protect the interests of their customers.

Obama Comes to Canada 1st Official Visit ~~~The Home of PoliticolNews

Canada is not exactly a “foreign country” to most Americans but it is symbolic and tradition for a new American President to visit the neighbors even if they dump cold Arctic air and snow on the United States.

Already environmental groups are greeting President Obama with a message ” stop buying dirty oil from the Alberta sands”. The President’s short visit will be only hours of his time but the main topic will be how to stem the every increasing bad economic turn of both countries and the car industry. Free trade will also be a subject of concern to Canadians who are fearing a re-negotiated Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.

Energy security will be more targeted topic than Canada’s withdrawl of troops from Afghanastan and trade barriers will also be on the agenda. Obama’s campaign promises of green energy jobs smacks directly against the Conservative PM Stephen Harper who rejected the Kyoto Accord and still believes the perilous global warming is a myth.

Although the Canadian government is now working during Obama’s visit they maybe recalled to attend his address to the Canadian Parliament as all previous President’s have done since Truman.

In contrast to the Republican President George Bush who broke the tradition -Bush visited Mexico first, then Canada but then again that speaks for itself. President Obama’s visit will be short and sweet and it is doubtful he will have an overnight stay.

His limousine the Beast has arrived by cargo plane and the streets will be lined with Canadians who want to catch a glimpse of the popular President. Unlike Bush’s visit which was met with many protesters -Obama has millions of Canadian fans that are planning festivities for his visit brief as it will be. Mrs. Obama will not be accompanying the President on this visit but hopefully she will on future visits. Local Ottawa restaurants have designed an “Obama Burger” in honor of the President’s visit and a famous Canadian pastry treat the beaver tail is now called the “Obama Tail” .

The heavy security around Ottawa will have Obama’s route under heavy police security and the weather promises to be very chilly and snow is predicted in the weather forecast.

This will be a business visit and to start a dialogue on how the two countries can work together to resolve the energy crisis, the economic crisis, the automobile industry crisis, the monitary policy crisis and any other crisises that have occured in the last several months.

Politically Obama and Harper are on opposite sides of the spectrum as a Democratic President sitting while a Conservative Prime Minister barely hangs on to his seat as Prime Minister.

Harper had a non-confidence vote two months ago for which he shut down the government to avoid the opposition parties to vote him out of office. Since that time Harper has had to against his will design a stimulus package to get the Canadian economy back on track for which he had no choice. The leader of the Liberal Party Michael Ignatieff will meet with his American President counter part during the visit also. Ignatieff is the leader of the Liberal Party which is the official opposition in the Canadian government.

It should be an interesting conversation between the two leaders.

FDA Allows Poisonous Peanut Butter. So We're a Third World Country.

The FDA needs a major overhaul and nothing is more evident that they are not doing their job than the recent peanut butter salmonella which is President Obama’s wake up call.

These are exciting times in politics with massive stimulus packages being passed, narrowly and still it may be up in the air. But the worst evidence of government breakdown is an FDA that is ineffective and its too busy trying to shut down vitamin shops. One case involves a church that sells vitamins and herbs from the biblical passages and the FDA is shutting them down.

False litigation costs of the FDA must be astronomical these days as they are forcing the shut down of health and vitamin shops and anything to do with alternative medicines. Ultimately they end up losing the cases and costing the taxpayer millions of dollars.

If only they would do what their mandate indicates which is to protect the American public and the food supply but they are not doing their job. There are very few inspections of foods at any food manufacturing company, there is no enforcement unless you are a vitamin shop then they shut you down. Where are their priorities, to protect drug companies from losing profits - they work for drug companies.

Never mind - pass the peanut butter. Our society is becoming like a Third World country with no regulation, no government control over our food supply and anything goes - whether it’s on Wall Street, or FDA headquarters -there are no rules anymore.

There is no one steering the ship and its a free fall of dangerous products and drugs because no one is working at the FDA. At least they are not working for the American public - they are working for the drug companies.

The FDA is sleeping at the switch because they are too busy pounding out dangerous drugs for drug companies to ever do any inspections of our food supply even the domestic food supply right under their noses. The offending parties are given a slap on the hand, only to continue with rat feces and salmonella in our children’s peanut butter.

Food is an interesting adventure even not indulging in those poisonous blow fish dishes in Japan, you do not have to travel to a foreign country anymore to eat russian roulette style. You can consume a multitude of staples like peanut butter right here in your own country and bite the dust. It is fun not knowing when it will come, when you will get sick again eating anywhere in America now- some people call this reckless endangerment.

Your kids could be chowing down a poison product at school and never return home again. The chances of you getting botulism at a family restaurant are very good and you will even line up for hours to get this food.

The only people eating “non-poisonous food” are the Wall Street Bankers who between 8 men pocketed over 120 million dollars. There are glaring examples of the total ineptitude of the FDA all over the internet and Americans are getting nauseous by the day by drugs that are not tested or safe.

Safety comes first for any government to protect its citizens from fraudulent claims and known corruption in government. For the last 20 years the FDA has been run by ex -executives of drug companies. This alliance has made the FDA not only corrupt but has cost the government billions of dollars in health care costs. Why? Since the FDA approves drugs that are unsafe and unleashes this poisonous drugs on the American public they become ill from the side effects which are not disclosed. The bill for healthcare for the victims of these drugs are the taxpayer.

FDA LAWS - YOU CAN’T SUE A DRUG COMPANY ANYMORE:

Since the year 2006 the drug companies have been working on a scheme where you cannot sue them for any liability for medical devices and drugs. The Supreme Court is ruling in favor of the drug companies to take away your rights in case you die or something like that, by taking a killer drug that hasn’t been tested. Here’s how the scheme works:

So here you have ex-drug company employees working at the FDA, the get a drug for approval from a drug company and they are all chums or worked together in the past.

The FDA approves the drug that has not been tested by themselves and accept the findings of
the drug company because they do their own testing.

Take for example a product such as Fentanyl Patches which are very strong narcotic pain killers is put on the market to consumers.

The drug company makes billions of dollars and are laughing all the way to the bank.

The FDA thinks it has done it’s job and stews in its own corruption.

If your parent or family member took this drug there were numerous leaky patches which injected lethal doses of the drug which led to death.

You remain the guinea pig with no rights at all and suffer the consequences with no recourse thanks to our Supreme Court and the FDA.

The Supreme Court says you cannot sue, so take your drugs and go quietly. This includes drugs like Vioxx, Celebrex which have known side effects that can give you a heart attack. The FDA is shielding the drug companies under the Pharmaceutical Pre-Emptive Regulations and Policies.

Gates Lets Mosquitos Talk to Tech Conference

Bill Gates in an unusual move at a elite tech conference unleashed a jar full of mosquitos onto the attendees to bring attention to the disease spread by mosquitos namely malaria. The TED or Technology Entertainment Design Conference in California were most likely shocked to be receiving this message in this way.

The Microsoft founder used the insects to illustrate the point that “not only poor people should experience this” meaning that malaria stikes poorer countries moreover that contend with this disease. Bill Gates re-assuring the audience that the insects were not infected by malaria. His foundation the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation stated that they would fund over 167 million dollars to irradicate malaria.

The gathering was also attended by Al Gore who spoke of the melting Arctic, carbon emissions, and the coal industry advertisers who claim their industry is clean.

It seems appropriate that Bill Gates would use “bugs” to bring home a point since there are so many in the vista program it is being overlooked by the new beta release of Windows 7.

Iran Skeptical of Obama New Policy

The reaction to President Obama’s Inaugural speech of extending a hand to a fist is welcomed by Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The conditions for the acceptance of President Obama’s policy is however met with conditions of withdrawing all US troops from the middle east and an apology for crimes in the past against Tehran.

The clenched fist of Iran is not readily willing to accept a new approach from the George Bush axis of evil theory and the insistance that Iranian nuclear production.
Ahmadinejad further states that any type of change in tactics will be exposed to be simply a change in government -but not in military policy.

President Ahmadinejad also warns Iran’s supreme Leader the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who is Iran’s highest leader that even the new U.S. government -could not be trusted. Also Ahmadinejad warns that there will be increased pressure from the United Nations to cease the nuclear work by Iran. Iran contends that the nuclear power generation is not geared towards nuclear bombs and he condemned George Bush to “go to hell”.

Iran’s opposition politician Mr. Ebrahim Yazdi said he said better ties with the US is in the better interest and the economy of Iran and a ripe climate for increased and direct negotiations with the United States.

Although President Barack Obama’s new vision for peace in the middle east and most view the end of George Bush’s government, Obama has much to do to restore relations with the world in particular the typical countries who wish to enter the nuclear industry such as North Korea and Iran.

Palin Trashes 180,000 RNC Clothes Jan 23 2009

In this climate of economic hardships we find people saving pennies to get by and survive the recession however in Alaska they tend to ignore these petty problems.
Sarah Palin and her now famous wardrobe which cost the RNC most paid by donations is in the trash.

Only 33 percent of her wardrobe was returned to the RNC only after lawyers made a special trip to Wasilla to visit the Governor of Alaska to require the return of the clothes. Palin chaulked up enormous bills for her own clothing in the name of political appearances and for her whole family. It was like taking the kids from Walmart to Saks for a spree!! The good life of polical campaigns was not wasted on the Wasilla girl’s clothing needs and tastes which showed a liking for the good life. Whatever happened to the “hockey mom” image she tried so hard to portray to voters and the invented innocence of her lifestyle and charitable deeds.

So much for Sarah Palin’s attempts at cleaning up her tarnished image while the scandals of the clothing purchases alone still plague by the Saks shopping sprees of the Republican campaign with John McCain.

Stem cell research has been used for years for dogs and dog arthritis and the success is nothing new to the company called Vet Stem.
